The terms governing your use of the QuickSeq website, sequencing marketplace and customer portal.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the QuickSeq website at quickseq.bio, our sequencing marketplace and our customer portal (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
In short: QuickSeq connects you with sequencing providers and helps run your project; the sequencing itself is performed by independent providers. Prices and turnaround times on the site are planning estimates — the binding details are set in a formal quote. The Service is for research use. You keep ownership of your samples and results, and it’s your responsibility to make sure you have the consents needed for genetic samples.
By accessing the Service, creating an account, or submitting a request, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
QuickSeq is a sequencing marketplace and advisory. We help you plan next-generation sequencing (NGS), Sanger sequencing and bioinformatics projects, provide indicative pricing, and match you with independent third-party sequencing providers and laboratories who perform the work. QuickSeq itself is not necessarily the entity that physically carries out sequencing or laboratory work.
To use the portal you must create an account with accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at info@quickseq.bio of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Prices, turnaround times and specifications shown on the Service — including any estimated price calculators and the marketplace listings — are indicative estimates for planning purposes only and are not binding offers. Final pricing, scope, timelines and terms are confirmed in a formal quote and/or an agreement with the relevant provider before any work begins. Estimates may change based on sample quality, project requirements, and provider availability.
Where a project proceeds with a third-party provider, the actual sequencing and laboratory services are provided by that independent provider, and may be subject to the provider’s own terms. QuickSeq facilitates the match and may coordinate the project, but does not control and is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, equipment, certifications or results of third-party providers, except as expressly agreed in writing. Provider names shown on the Service may be anonymized or illustrative until a project is confirmed.
Statements on the Service about turnaround time, data quality (e.g. “99.9%”), uptime, coverage ranges and bioinformatics outputs are illustrative targets and aspirations, not guarantees.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) the Service and any results, reports, estimates or analyses are provided “as is” and “as available”, without guarantee of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or specific turnaround time; (b) bioinformatics results and interpretations are provided for research use and must be independently validated by you before being relied upon for any decision; (c) QuickSeq is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or research outcomes; and (d) QuickSeq’s total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the fees you paid to QuickSeq for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Research use: unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the services are intended for research purposes only and are not intended for clinical, diagnostic or therapeutic use.
You retain ownership of your samples, your input data and the results of your project. You grant QuickSeq and the matched provider the limited rights needed to perform and support the project. You are responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights, consents and ethical/IRB approvals for any human or third-party biological material and data you submit — including, where relevant, the informed consent required under the Genetic Information Law, 5761‑2000 to perform genetic testing and to use genetic information. We treat your project information as confidential, handle sensitive and genomic data as described in our Privacy Policy, and can provide a full NDA on request.
The QuickSeq website, brand, content and software are owned by QuickSeq and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Service only as permitted here. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: submitting unlawful, infringing or harmful content; attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system or account; disrupting or overloading the Service; or using it to violate any law or third-party rights.
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement, QuickSeq disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickSeq and its providers from claims, damages and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right (including in relation to samples or data you submit).
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service, our users or third parties. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. liability, confidentiality, IP) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts of Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
